Position:                   Service Attendant (part time)

Department:             In Room Dining

Reports to:             Food and Beverage Outlets Manager

Scope of Position:

The primary responsibility of the IRD Service Attendant is to service our guest through In Room Dining by delivering their orders to the guestrooms.

Responsibilities:

  • Services our guests by delivering their order on time and in a professional manner
  • Organizes and delivers VIP amenities on a daily basis, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Being an ambassador of the Fairmont Winnipeg by providing an excellent first impression.
  • Usage of guest names whenever possible
  • Maintains a professional, pleasing attitude towards each of our guests and colleagues
  • Addresses guest concerns and bringing them to the attention of the Manager on Duty
  • Demonstrates the Fairmont’s Service Plus standards in all guest and colleague interactions
  • Maintains cleanliness of work area
  • Preparation of work areas for In Room Dining to standard.
  • Clean up for In Room Dining including tray pick-ups and restocking. i.e. including all back areas on the guestroom floors
  • Adheres to Health & Safety policy and ensuring safe work practices are followed at all times.
  • Adheres to the hotel’s environmental policies and procedures.
  • Adherers to all allergy policies
  • Demonstrates Service Plus Standards and Values

 

Qualifications:

  • Previous Food & Beverage experience required-1-2 years minimum
  • Must be self-motivating, able to work effectively unsupervised, a team player and service oriented. 
  • Good comfort level with Micros POS system.
  • Good physical ability & must be able to lift 25+ pounds at a time.  Must be able to complete all physical aspects of the job without restriction.   
  • Must have excellent English verbal & written skills.
  • Fluency in a second language an asset.
  • “It’s Good Business” responsible liquor service certification required.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and/or holidays.
