Youth Employment Services and Manitoba Training & Education Centre are teaming up once again to offer you an incredible opportunity: a Free 8 week training that will provide the knowledge, skills, and certification needed to become an outstanding and efficient: Front Desk Clerk and Food & Beverage Server.

This hospitality centered training will cover two of the largest, most desired, and continuously growing industries in Manitoba: Hotels & Restaurants. Each participant to successfully complete the in-class training will be matched with a 60 hour practicum placement to gain hands-on experience in a professional setting. We have two sessions coming up.  One starting in February and the other beginning in March.

MTEC (Manitoba Training and Education Centre) is a Private Vocational Institution.  Their training follows National Occupational Standards which are set by industry professionals from across the country.  The certificates awarded at the end of the training programs are recognized and valued by employers in related industries across Canada, and will greatly improve your chances of gaining employment.

Who is eligible?: Youth 18-29

Where?: Training will last 8 weeks and be held at the MTEC Training Centre, 75 Scurfield Blvd., Unit 3 (bus passes will be provided)

When?: There are two separate training sessions coming up.  One begins on February 8th and the other begins on March 16th.  Training consists of 8 weeks of classroom learning followed by a 60 hour practicum placement.
